Congratulations to the CFJ-LA Fire Development Program Boys Team 5 (City Park Campus) for winning the U-10 bracket at the Midnight Madness Tournament in Mandeville in October.

Congratulations to Chase Rushing of the CFJ-LA Fire 98 Red, who was selected to play on the Chicago Fire Academy Team at the Disney Showcase. The CFJ Academy Team won the tournament with Chase contributing 2 goals over the weekend.

Congratulations to the CFJ-LA Fire Red U-13 Boys for winning the U-13 Gold Bracket at the United Cup in Baton Rouge! CFJ-LA Red were also finalists at this years's Gator Classic where they lost in the finals in sudden death PK's.

Southern Region U-17 girls

Chicago Fire 1- Gulfport 0 

First half scoreless-  In the second half, Caitlin Flint (Dominican) stopped a deflected shot at the goal line to preserve  a clean sheet for keeper Kristal Breaux (Hahnville).   Kirstie Champagne(Terrebonne) scored on a header after a corner kick by Makelle Pena (Vandebilt Catholic) in the 75th minute for the win.  The Fire move to 2-1 in the region.

 

Sub-Regional Premier League

Chicago Fire U-17 boys  went 1 and 1 against Alabama, 0-1 in Saturday’s match and a  3-0 win on Sunday: Matt Millet’s All-star group gets underway in their bid to recapture the state championship.

 

Chicago Fire U-16 boys went 1-0-1 against Alabama.

Steve McAnespie’s  charges tied their first match and took it out on Huntsville in the Sunday final 7-2.  Will McQueen, a rising sophomore at Jesuit, had an assist and four goals to lead the Fire.
